The Studio offer Lampworking Station Torch-Time rental for QUALIFIED members. (Refer to Workshop section for details.)
All workshop users are to clean up the work area at the end of the session.

Design your very own glass plate! In this workshop, you will learn how to cut glass, mix and match various types of coloured glass to form the shape of a plate, creating your own design and patterns.

Have you always been fascinated with textures that you can feel on glass and wondered about the process? Here's your chance to practise different art glass techniques like cutting and handling glass and learning about the different tools used in art glass. A workshop that is suitable for beginners, you will experience how fragile yet robust glass is, as you have fun with this interesting material. Take home an original textured glass piece created by you at the end of the workshop!

An introduction to glass beadmaking, this workshop will teach you various beadmaking techniques like pulling stringers, how to add 2 to 3 colours in a bead and creating a flower in a bead. Everything you make is yours to take away.

Printmaking - Woodblock :

The traditional way of making a relief print is from woodblock. Have fun learning this method before you express your ideas to apply the print to so many other mediums. Woodblock prints are made by what is known as a 'relief' process. You will learn how to carve small blocks of wood to leave raised areas on which pigments are brushed. The colours are then transferred to paper by rubbing. Learn how to make a block of wood "come alive" through woodcarving; creating a printing block that transfers your carved design onto paper. The idea is to let your imagination take flight and express yourself using wood as a medium.
